These fruit trees are closely related and will pollinate any of the others if necessary, so they are grouped for convenience. Plums & Gages (Prunus domestica) are mostly sweet and good to eat freshly picked, while Damsons (Prunus insititia) are delicious when cooked and make excellent jam (we think). You have a choice of sizes of plum tree: half standards give you the basis of a lovely big tree and if space is short, a bush will still give you lots of fruit
