Carpinus Betulus [Hornbeam]

Deciduous, round headed tree. Has a fluted trunk and oval, prominently veined, dark green leaves that turn yellow and orange in Autumn. Bears green catkins from late Spring to Autumn when clusters of winged nuts appear. Height 25 metres. Spread 20 metres.
