Deciduous, medium growing tree, upright in youth becoming wider with age. Good central leader with well spaced branches. Single white flowers in Spring before leaves unfold. Fruits inconspicuous blue-black cherries. Bright green foliage colour in Summer, yellow to red in Autumn. Attractive smooth grey to brown to reddish brown bark.
