The Shop

Established 50 years

"The shop was started in
1948 by my parents. The original premises were three ex-army
huts full of army surplus clothes, boots, etc.. When my Father
arrived home from a goverment auction one day with a large lot
of wellington boots, we discovered everyone was for the left
foot. Needless to say, my parents decided to start selling new
wellingtons from then on.
After that they started to sell boots, shoes, working clothes,
new and secondhand furniture, timber and roofing sheets - in
fact almost anything the local people needed - the shop was
called Masbury Woolworth by most of its customers!
In the early 1980's we built a new shop on the site of the old
army huts. Today the shop stocks motoring parts, tools, household
and D.I.Y. goods, clothing, toys and a large selection of giftware
and books.
Please come and browse around. You are sure to find something
that you want at competitive prices."
